TJC Security Issue

E-mail Print PDF
Effective 23 August 2010, all students, faculty and staff are required to wear an ID card on a lanyard for identification purposes.  There are more TJC Police patrols than in the past to prevent "unwanted" persons from being on the campus for the wrong reasons.  It may be possible that our members, when on campus, might be verbally "frisked" as to their presence.  To prevent this situation, Don Jackson has made ID badges for each member.  If you don't already have your badge, contact Don in order to obtain them.

A corona mass ejection Sunday, Aug. 1 (left), will produce an brilliant effect on the Northern Lights (right).  The aurora can be seen as far south as Washington State and Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Look at this its effects in Denmark.  There are U-Tube videos on the internet already.

Star Viewing Requested at Mineola

E-mail Print PDF

Everyone,
This is just in!

The Mineola Lake Brenda Property Holders Association is holding their annual dinner at the Mineola Nature Preserve on Sat. Oct. 9.  Dinner (for us too!) will be served at 5pm.

They have requested a Star Viewing and Program at dark that day.  We'll have a sliver of a crescent moon, so if weather is good, it should be good viewing.

How many can come and bring scopes?

Let me know as soon as you can.
